The Center serves as a clearinghouse providing users with program regulations;
model programs, case studies, publications on a variety of housing, community
and economic development topics; funding information; training and conference
announcements; and referrals to technical assistance providers. The Center also serves as a resource and information center for HUD’s American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) Programs. In addition to basic program information, specialists can assist CPD and Public and Indian housing (PIH) grantees with questions on ARRA reporting.
Community Connections, under the Mailing List Management contract, maintains a database of grantee and constituent contact information for HUD. The information in the database is updated on a routine basis and used exclusively by HUD to notify grantees, entitlement communities, and other constituents of important events and information.
Small Business
Community Connections pledges that a percentage of its substantive workload
under each task order will be subcontracted to qualified small businesses and
consultants. This promise requires assistance from small business partners with
expertise in many areas, including: audio visual, call center operations,
distribution, editing, event planning, graphic design, printing, public
relations, technical writing, and warehousing. Toward achieving this goal,
Community Connections is always interested in meeting small business leaders.
